Some niche upcoming models that emerged in the Transport Tech sector are companies offering free floating self drive cars that can be dropped anywhere (such as ZebraMobil), and companies providing navigational platform and services (such as MapsWithMe). The sector attracted a total of $14B across 144 rounds in 2017 YTD. While the maximum rounds were across Early Stage (60), the mammoth part of the funding went to the Late Stage rounds ($12.5B)

2017 saw some of the biggest investments in the sector, including Didi Chuxing’s $5.5B (Series G), Ola’s $2B (Series I), and Go-Jek’s $1.2B (Series D)
