Developers and casual games under developers formed the most investment friendly large, upcoming sectors in the VR gaming space.
Total funding dollars fell from the previous year in 2016 by a whopping 255% as total fundraising rounds fell by 83%.
Top investments in the last one year include Vsensory’s Series A round of $10M and Double Fine’s Series B round of $8M.
By stage of entry, Boost VC led the tally of most active investors for seed, HTC Corporation led for Series A and Danhua Capital led for Series B.
Historically, developers have been the most funded business model ($299M) as investments to the tune of $83M have been invested between 2016-17 in the VR gaming space.
